This image of The Window was painted from an image captured in 2020 during the global pandemic. I wanted to dive into the concept of sanctuary, and this image was the perfect starting point.

The suggestion of nature and life beyond the window invites a fascination for the unknown and sparked dreams of endless horizons and boundless freedom. As light softly spills through the frame, it suggests a cozy nook to retreat to and the warm hues paint a picture of comfort and ease – a place that feels like home.
