On the first day of the year in the small hours of the morning, the man walked ahead to check the walkway for hazards. The man who came into my life when I least expected it with a love and protectiveness so fierce I was flooded with admiration. It was around 2am when this image was initially captured. I love how the light bounces off the walkway as the figure walks towards the mysterious light.
